Porcelain Crowns

Porcelain crowns are life like in appearance and are used on front  teeth where the esthetics are important. There are many new types being developed and some that have has a very good history. We would be happy to discuss whether your bite and tooth shape can accommodate a particular crown.

Cosmetic Dental Bonding

By applying a thin coating of a tooth-colored resin composite material to teeth, Dr Lausier can improve the appearance of a number of cosmetic flaws. In many cases, cosmetic bonding is more affordable and just as effective as porcelain veneers, though results will not last as long.

Dental Crowns

When a tooth has been damaged by a cavity, has been broken or has a fracture in the tooth structure it will need a restoration.  When the tooth structure is very undermined or there is a deep crack then a crown is the treatment of choice. Should the injury cause the nerve in the tooth to become inflamed and painful then a root canal and then a crown might be needed. The crown will  cover the entire surface for protection and esthetics.

Dental Bridges

If a patient is missing one or more teeth but is not necessarily a good candidate for dentures or dental implants, he or she may be fitted with a dental bridge. A bridge is an artificial tooth that is held in place by a dental crown on either side of the gap created by the missing tooth.

Dentures

We offer both full and partial dentures to our patients . . Unlike dental bridges or dental implants, dentures are removable replacement teeth. Our office uses the most modern materials and methods to create our patients' dentures, so they can always be assured of a comfortable fit and the most realistic appearance.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Traditional metal fillings, although they last twice as long and can be used in areas where moisture control is difficult, are often composed of mercury and silver alloys. These will eventually create a black appearance. White fillings are less likely to cause tooth breakage than metal fillings. They are however more prone to the decay process especially in between back teeth. Long term studies have shown that they also last about half the time of the silver fillings. White fillings are virtually undetectable which makes your smile healthy and beautiful at the same time. The cost of the two restorations also varies. We will ask all our patients what their preference is before we place any filling.
